Updates to Mandatory Labor Law Posters

Changes are coming to several states in 2018 resulting in revisions to the mandatory labor law posters. All employers are required to display current labor law posters in every office location to inform employees of the federal and state laws that may impact them. If your operations include offices in these states, you will need to update your labor law posters for those offices.

Effective January 1, 2018, the following states will implement changes to their minimum wage compensation:

  • Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Rhode Island

Additionally, the following states have revisions related to transgender rights, pregnancy discrimination, Earned Income Credit rates, the Fair Classification Act, paid sick leave, unemployment insurance and other workers’ rights:

  • California, Connecticut, Louisiana, North Carolina, Washington and Wisconsin
